She noticed that their pitch was lower than the modern concert standard (A=440Hz). This discovery became the beginning of her exploration into A=432Hz. Through studying pitch and resonance, she found connections between sound, natural rhythms, and cosmic cycles. For KUNIKO, 432Hz represents not simply a frequency, but a way of listening deeply — to nature, silence, emotion, and the unseen. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ About the 432Hz Period-Pitch Modern Piano This one-of-a-kind modern piano was specially developed for 432Hz Pianist KUNIKO in 2019. The instrument was created through extensive historical research by piano producer Hiroshi Takagi (Recipient of the 2023 Nippon Steel Music Award / CEO of Takagi Klavier Co., Ltd.), a leading specialist in Romantic and modern period-pitch instruments.
